You’ve been made to believe that when there is more than one against you, you can’t win.īut truth revealed, the whole idea of opposition, counter-intention, mind chatter and body babble-all of it-is phantom. If you intend to be a millionaire or happily married, travel to Paris or lose ten pounds, at some level you will wake up the double team of Mind & Body. Yeah, the odds have been stacked against you since the beginning of time. ![]() In sales language you will get “ double teamed” by your Mind & Body.Īs we used to say in the 3rd grade, “ It’s two against one. When you extend yourself with your intention you will hit resistance. You: “ had to go into work early…yeah.no.listen.gotta run.” “ Hello, intention? Did you make your goal with your sit-ups today?” Given all that noise, let’s check back in with you and your intention. It’s just one piece of cake and a scoop of ice cream. Your stomach still bulges.”Īnd the mind will have its say. This voice is quite active when you’re stretching or extending yourself towards a survival goal. “You cannot run that mile.” “You’re never going to lose that weight.” “You can’t dance because you have two left feet.” How they got a voice in this is I don’t know. Staying on your diet.Īnd just as you’re intending to stick to day three of your diet or exercise program, your mind and body butt in. When you intended to get an “A” on your report card in school or you intended to ask Cindy to the Senior Prom, these were intentions or desires that came from you.Īnd depending on your school work and your chances with Cindy, if you were in it for real you were mustering up all of your intention to make those things happen.Įverything you do starts with your intention. Intention or intending is a spiritual phenomena. The word intention comes from intend. And when you dig deeper its roots mean to “extend or stretch.”Īnd I’m not talking about, “ Can you stretch and touch your toes without bending your knees?” ![]()
